Through a Thinly Veiled Curtain
Finding Life, Love, and Meaning Beyond Death in Jewish Tradition
RABBI ANDREA COSNOWSKY
What happens when we die?
Do our loved ones continue to exist? Is there life after death? Judaism has wrestled with these questions for thousands of years. The answers are not simple, and that's exactly what makes the tradition so rich.
In Through a Thinly Veiled Curtain, Rabbi Andrea Cosnowsky explores Jewish teachings about death, the afterlife, mourning, and the enduring connection between the living and the dead. Drawing on biblical, rabbinic, mystical, and contemporary Jewish sources, she guides readers through the many ways Judaism has understood what happens after death while offering wisdom for those navigating grief, uncertainty, and hope.
Whether you are mourning the loss of someone you love, caring for a person at the end of life, exploring Jewish beliefs, or simply wondering what lies beyond the thinly veiled curtain that separates life from death, this book offers a thoughtful companion for one of life's most universal questions.
